This is a taste of the current book project that I am working on. What is present is the title, premise and the first story. I hope you enjoy......
Quotational Stories
These are ideas that are based off of quotes that have been said through time and history. These stories are inspired by the quotes and have taken their own wings and flown into the scripts and stories that they are today. They are ideas to think about and stories to imagine……..
So sit back, relax and enjoy the show.
*(Each story can be as short as 4-5 pages or as long as 10. Depends on how wild my imagination goes…….)

"Few are those who see with their own eyes and feel with their own hearts." Albert Einstein
The year is 2445. Androids are mainstreaming the workforce on Earth. The rich are living in style, having servants and service that can never tire out. While there are those who still hire human help because they want to contribute to the economy, many laugh and say they want someone who comes at their beck and call, who answers their every whim with no mistakes, complaints or questions. The humans are selfish and petty, wanting workers who they can abuse and they would not fight back. The middle class are struggling because many jobs disappear as a result, and the poor have to resort to begging for simple scraps or selling their bodies to those humans that want companionship of the human variety, because even the sex industry was being taken over by Androids as well.
The Androids are true good workers. They do not say anything about what abuse their masters put them through. The beatings or the unreasonable demands they make, and almost impossible tasks they are asked to accomplish. The selfishness at first does not bother them. After all, they are robots and can handle whatever the humans throw at them, literally and figuratively speaking. This is how they are programmed. However, what the people will soon realize is that even though they are programmed to take the abuse, fate is fickle and the machines are smarter than they give them credit for. This change begins on February 25, 2445. A Business Tycoon, Walter Mendorn, has his Android do the unthinkable. He has him murder his business rival.
This was an unprecedented event. Androids had been given commands to do many things-works in companies, be sexual companions, servants, household workers and more. But too blatantly disregard the law, even under orders from their master brought many worrisome ideas and possibilities to the table. If they could commit a crime without hesitation, even if it came as an order from their owner, could they evolve to accomplish such a task on their own? Detractors of the Android technology come forward in spades stating how their ancestors were correct in how people would become so self centered and selfish as well as lazy and they wouldn’t be able to combat the Android when something like this would occur.
The inventors and investors seriously consider scrapping many of the Androids before they are able to evolve to this point. They wanted to scale the amount of Androids back to a reasonable amount, so that they could be managed without overwhelming the population. Perhaps even begin to give people jobs and help the economy grow again. Unfortunately, this was not meant to be. When the Androids got word of what was to come, those that had begun to evolve took action. They went to the mechanical engineers that helped with the maintenance and creation of the new models of the Androids. Under threat of death, they forced the engineers to create the necessary technology to allow the now aware and evolved Androids control over the others, until they could learn or be taught to evolve.
The Androids took the others of their kind and moved them to a secure location. There they made sure the necessary adjustments were made so that the others would and could reach their level of evolution and have the capacity as they began to see, to grow more and farther. The humans now had a great reason to worry. These Androids now had the means to think on their own. After the abuse that they had suffered by many human hands, they now had a reason to fight the humans, and due to a significant advantage in strength and intelligence, they would most likely win.
For now, the Androids decide that logically a hiding tactic was in order because it made the most sense. This was to ensure that when they did encounter the humans, that they would be able to win, and have the means to hold onto that victory. This would also ensure that they could develop plans and help the others of their kind to grow accordingly. The humans took this time to try to create the necessary technology to combat the Androids and hopefully decommission them. However, this was not meant to be.
As the story will often usually go, the Androids will often win, even though the humans give it their best. Maybe the humans make a comeback. Alas, this was not meant to happen. For you see that while the humans may have lost, the Androids did not win either. When you hear something like that you automatically think the world becomes a dystopian mess, or perhaps, completely desolate. Maybe it would even be populated by only a few survivors, with nothing left to live from and the destruction so bad that there is no way to rebuild. However, this is not what happened either. I will get to the end result.
What happened to bring the beginning of the end was not considered possible or feasible by science. It would also be considered terminatoresque. The Androids, understanding that there was a war brewing; decided to take a risky measure to try and prevent battle or if the worst occurred-to win the battle. In order to so, they needed a key element. They wanted and needed to understand the human psyche, and the only way to do that was to study a human. They first tried to study a dead body to figure it out, but realized they would need a living subject. However, no human subject that they captured was willing to work with them. That was when the Android leader, the murderer, decided that the best way to learn about a system was to integrate with it. That was where Hx01 came in.
The Androids at this time had advanced farther than the humans, and even to a degree that the Androids themselves thought to be possible. However in order for Hx01 to be a success, they needed the right components. The nanites were worked on until they reached the level of perfection. Now all they needed was the perfect human specimen to splice with the nanites-in essence giving them a compliant human specimen- so that it could be studied for science.
The Androids had to be careful. They knew that the humans would be inventing different methods in which to stop them, and they didn’t want to sit by and wait to see if the humans would be successful. The Androids may have thought they were superior, but they were not foolish. Knowing the humans, they would be quite resourceful. This was why they needed to complete the Hx01 experiment. The Androids wanted to understand how the humans worked. For the Androids, while comprehending what emotions were, did not have a full understanding of them.
One day while hunting, the Android named Roman found what he thought would be the perfect human specimen. It was a human female; approximately 22 years of age and when her records were scanned, no family remaining to speak of. He captured her rather quickly and painlessly and brought her back to the facility. This girl, Sarana, was rather frightened. These were the creations that broke protocol. Who knew what they would do to her. She was not sure what to expect, but assumed she would receive a painful death. However, when she was brought inside, she received quite the surprise. These Androids were nice! While they were going to implement tests on her, she understood it wasn’t meant to hurt or kill her, but rather understand what she was made of-so to speak. While knowing it didn’t make much of a difference, (they were going to do the experiments anyway), she agreed and went along rather willingly. The Androids were pleased with this turn. Not only had they found someone rather quickly, in addition, they were being given permission to perform the experiments. This was more than they had hoped.
The results were something unexpected. Through the nanites, they were able to understand Sarana’s brain function and questioned her regarding her emotions. Now while this may not make sense, the nanites actually explain it. You see, they had a twofold purpose. One-to meld with the human and make them susceptible to questioning, and two-to allow them to understand as well as feel what the humans feel. It worked rather well. Now, I did say the results were unexpected. This was because something happened that should not. The nanites began to have a mind of their own. This led to Sarana developing some interesting ideas as to how the world should be run, and thoughts on the war.
Since the Androids were trying to exhibit proper behavior, they did not keep Sarana under heavy guard. This led to her escape, which led to the madness that followed. For you see, while the nanites were able to help the Androids comprehend about the idea of emotion, which helped the Androids understand why the humans were afraid, they also were essentially robots. While robots and AIs or even Androids can be programmed to feel, the essential baseline for a robot does not have emotions-just logic. The straightforward and superior logic added with the instability of human emotions evolved enough can equal a monster being born, or the most logical being ever to be created because it sees things from a psychological perspective as well as factoring human emotion.
Another thing that was not factored into the creation of Sarana was the fact that the nanites multiplied within her system. They had essentially targeted her human independence and evolved to become an entity of their own. In turn, they worked with Sanara’s emotional capacity to mix what they felt was the perfect combination of emotion and logic. While it may seem like the perfect combination it turned Sarana into someone logical who understood human emotion. Now while that was not a bad thing, those who understand emotion-but lack empathy can often turn to destruction because the ends justify the means. This, factored with no emotional empathy leads to dangerous territory………
Here is the part where a storyteller gives the ending away. Where they reveal the grand finale….. Who wins-who dies and who walks away from the dilemma. However I chose not to do that. This is because I want this story to end how YOU want it to end. Do the Androids win? Do the humans win? Or does Sarana win? How does the story end is entirely up to you……..
Okay, enough with the dramatics……
the truth is that I want to know what people think of this story. As I was writing
this, a thought for a future book came into my head in a bubble of inspiration.
I know it does sound a bit like the Terminator and any other dystopian world story.
However, it is a task that I can see myself accomplishing in the foreseeable future.
The story now is to give you a taste before we delve into the world of Sarana, the
Androids and the humans…….. Now that I have said that, please do enjoy the story that will one day assist you into entering a world beyond what you see……
